Description: L2.15 includes a culture of 10 stems of Elodea / Anachari that are suitable both for growth in an aquarium or examination under a microscope. Elodea is a commonly used aquatic plant in freshwater aquariums, where it provides a habitat for other species. It can reproduce both sexually, by producing small white flowers at the surface of the water, and asexually, by growing sub plants that break off from their parents. It is capable of growing rapidly when introduced to freshwater ecosystems and can consequently choke waterways.
Qty: 10 stems.
Notes: Elodea is considered a noxious weed in many states, and is therefore only available in the state of Victoria and Queensland.
