After removing the calvarium and the lower jaw, the base of the skull - sectioned medially - separates into two halves where the nasal septum, the paranasal sinuses with the nasal conchae, and the ethmoidal bone are shown.

 

The lower jaw is movable.

 

Separates into 5 parts.
