Description: L3.20 is a culture jar containing thousands of live Chilomonas. Chilomonas are small (around 30-40µm) free-living freshwater protozoa that can be found in stagnant water in ponds, ditches and marshes. They are pale to bluish-green in colour with flattened bodies that are convex on one side. Individuals have two flagella extending from their anterior and lack chloroplasts.
