SciVon DNA Model Kit Following
a simple assembly, this model can be twisted into a double helix. Each of the four nitrogenous bases comes
in a different colour, so students can design their own base pair
coding. It is easily removed from the
plastic base and can be extended to its full length and laid flat. The model can then be “unzipped” to
demonstrate separation. This
model is appropriate for classes at many different levels. It contains all the components you need,
and the accompanying notes provide assembly instructions, as well as information
on the structure and function of DNA. Being
able to construct and twist the model back and forth makes it a robust “hands
on” learning tool. Length when
collapsed is 23cm (15cm diameter), and is 89cm when fully extended and and
