BC093 Cro-Magnon skull This Cro-Magnon (Homo sapiens) skull was discovered in 1998 in the Rhine River deposits in Southwest Germany near Mainz. Since it was dredged from a gravel pit, the stratum can only be assumed. However, the association with Mammuthus, Megaceros and Equis, as well as the state of mineralization, suggests an age of at least 10,000 to 30,000 years. It also matches the description of other Cro-Magnon type hominid fossils from the area. This reproduction is cast from the original skull. Stand available - see product code SBC093. Model size: 20(L) x 14(W) x 14(H) cm (Information courtesy Bone Clones, Inc)
