Nutrient  Agar  Powder

A straw-coloured free-flowing powder that produces a general purpose culture medium (1.5% agar) suitable for the cultivation of bacteria.

Storage:

   Keep powder at 10-30oC in a tightly sealed container.

Preparation:

 

Suspend 28g in 1L of distilled water, then boil to dissolve.  Sterilise by autoclaving at 121oC for 15 minutes.
