E6.30 Gram Stain Kit, 100mL volumes Gram staining is an identification method that is carried out to classify bacteria as Gram Positive or Gram Negative. The procedure involves fixing a bacterial sample on a glass slide then successively treating with Crystal Violet, Gram's Iodine, acetone/alcohol and Safranin. The sample is then examined under a microscope. The result depends on the chemical and physical properties of the cell walls. This kit includes instructions and 100mL of each reagent. Note, due to the flammability of acetone/alcohol and Safranin solution, this kit can be shipped by road only.
