Pine Life Cycle

Clear photographs of pine cones pointing out examples of young female cones ready for pollination, and in their second summer as green cones and after the seeds are released as brown cones.  There is also a close up of a male cone releasing pollen, and a photograph of a pine seed.  In addition, there are two cross sections: one of a female cone at 20x magnification with an ovule labelled, and the other showing a male cone at 15x magnification with pollen grains identified.
