Fern Life Cycle

Seven colour photographs showing the stages of a fern lifecycle beginning with mature fern frond (Sporophytes), a frond  with Sori, a prothallus (40x) with Archegonium labelled, an inset of Antheridium  (300x) and Archegonium (300x), a young sporophyte growing from the gametophyte, and finally, the growth of young fronds or Fiddleheads.
