Cells

This chart presents a comparison of different Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cell structures.

Photomicrographs and accompanying text describe examples of both prokaryotes and eukaryotes.  The prokaryotes are represented by bacteria and cyanobacteria.  The eukaryotic cells are represented by examples from the fungi, protist, plant, and animal kingdoms. The examples from the plant kingdom provide three different views of plant cells, and the examples from the animal kingdom include epithelial, connective, muscle, and nervous tissue.
