Microscope Magnification

A quick reference chart for using the microscope in four different configurations:

• Eyepiece magnification (10x)

• Objective magnification (4x, 10x, 40x, 100x)

• Iris diaphragm setting

The approximate working distance (between the objective lens and the stage), the size of the field of view (mm), and the total magnification for each configuration is shown.

 An image of cells is displayed for each configuration to indicate how the different conditions affect the subject under view.
