|
Gel Electrophoresis (GEP) is a powerful analytical tool for molecular biologists that can now be safely used by students in school laboratories. In this hands-on workshop, participants working in groups of three will prepare agar gels, load dyes, and run separations to experience each step and learn what is involved in this exciting area of science. Further information and tips on using DNA in realistic biotechnology experiments will be provided. This workshop is aimed at technicians who are new to GEP, or who have tried it before and would like more experience before proceeding.
